Deep condition with our Potion Oil

Potion Oil is a Finishing Treatment Oil formulated with organically crafted and sustainably sourced oils gathered from around the world, and hand-made in small batches in our laboratory in Los Angeles. All the oils in Potion Oil have been used for centuries for their powerful medicinal, cosmetic and aromatherapy properties. We use Argan Oil from Morocco, popularly referred to as “Liquid Gold”, as the base carrier oil for our Potion Oil because it is known to be one of Nature’s great hydrating conditioners. Argan Oil has a very impressive strerol and fatty acid combination profile of palmitic acid, stearic acid, and high omega 6 and 9 percentage along with high amounts of vitamin A, C, E, antioxidants, and phytonutrients that have been proven to increase hair’s elasticity; to penetrate the shaft and restore shine to dull, lifeless hair; to protect the hair from the mechanical stress from hair styling; to smooth frayed hair shafts and seal split ends; for those with textured hair to define and condition curls; and to promote smoothness and stop frizz.  Argan Oil’s rich antioxidants and phytonutrients can also be helpful in healing scalp ailments including eczema and psoriasis and bring suppleness and elasticity to maturing scalps.

To this master conditioning oil we added four other hair and scalp benefiting oils, Lavendar, Jasmin, Geranium, and Bay Laurel. Lavendar Oil from France has been studied extensively and proven to: promote hair growth and thickness; be antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antifungal in preventing dandruff and other scalp issues while healing already wounded scalps; and in addition to soothing and calming the scalp and scalp inflammations, it has been proven to have a soothing and calming effect on the mind. Jasmin Oil from India, known as “Queen of the Night” has proven in studies to be an antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antimicrobial oil when used on the scalp to prevent pathogens and bacteria from building up on the scalp and attacking the hair follicles, causing them to fall out, break off, and grow thinner, and weaker. The hair will also have these problems when the scalp and hair are very dry. Jasmine oil is a natural emollient that locks in moisture to both the hair follicles and the scalp, leaving the hair shafts shiny and smooth, and the hair roots and scalp hydrated. When used after shampooing, it tames frizz and unruly hair by conditioning each strand. Jasmine oil’s intoxicating aromatherapy benefits are world renown as an aphrodisiac primarily, but it is also commonly used to enhance concentration, relieve depression and anxiety, and aid in combating insomnia. Geranium Oil from Egypt, has also been deeply studied regarding its anti-fungal and antibacterial activity, and outperformed the drugs currently in place to treat fungal infections and other bacterial infections. Geranium oil regulates and balances sebum production to heal conditions of dryness or excess oil, and since Geranium oil balances the body’s secretions around the hair follicles, studies have proven it’s an effective agent to promote hair growth. As aromatherapy Geranium oil relieves anxiety and depression, and uplifts the spirits. Bay Laurel Oil from the mountains of Bulgaria has antibacterial and antiseptic properties useful in killing bacteria and pathogens and preventing scalp infections from turning septic.  Bay laurel oil is also a good tonic for the hair: it boosts hair growth and prevents excessive hair loss; as an astringent, it helps tighten the grip of the hair follicles and the hair roots, thus preventing loss of hair; and as a scalp moisturizer, bay laurel oil prevents dandruff, and a dry, flaky scalp.  Bay laurel oil is often used in aromatherapy for its ability to cleanse the air and encourage deep breathing.

It is these powerful and purposeful oils that make Potion Oil a perfect Finishing Treatment Oil and for use in the beard and on the skin in other affected areas.
