Argan Oil

Argan trees grow and tenaciously survive in semi-desert areas of the Mediterranean and are known to live up to 200 years.  The deep roots and small leaves of the Argan tree allow it to resist arid winds and water loss, resulting in a nut with a unique oil profile.  For centuries, women throughout the Mediterranean have relied upon Argan Oil in their beauty regimes to ensure vibrant, healthy-looking skin and hair. 

            Our organically crafted Argan Oil is cold-pressed from the kernels of the Argania spinosa trees growing in the arid valleys of southwestern Morocco.   Popularly referred to as “liquid Gold”, Argan Oil is prepared by hand in a traditional, labor intensive method and extracted directly from the dough-like paste by kneading it until all the precious oil is squeezed out.

            Argan Oil has a very impressive strerol and fatty acid combination profile of palmitic acid, stearic, acid, and high omega 6 and 9 percentage along with high amounts of vitamin A, C, E, antioxidants, and phytonutrients. These properties allow Argan Oil be one of Nature’s great hydrating conditioners: to increase hair’s elasticity; to penetrate the shaft and restore shine to dull, lifeless hair;  to protect the hair from the mechanical stress from hair styling; to smooth frayed hair shafts and seal split ends; for those with textured hair to define and condition curls; and to promote smoothness and stop frizz.  Argan Oil’s rich antioxidants and phytonutrients can also be helpful in healing scalp ailments including eczema and psoriasis and bring suppleness and elasticity to maturing scalps. 

Argan Oil can be used on most hair types, however it’s wise to apply it according to your hair type and your specific needs.  Unlike many commercially available varieties of Argan Oil, ours is a high-quality oil with a mild nutty aroma.
