Sentiō Oil, olfactory support to calm the nervous system
Sentiō, by Neil Naturopathic, formulated in collaboration with perfumer Gitane Oils. Sentiō in Latin translates to perceive through the senses. Sentiō oil is Neil Naturopathic’s first olfactory support of the scalp and hair through aromatherapy. All oils and their benefits have been used for centuries to bring much needed support in helping to settle the parasympathetic nervous system. Sentiō oil is uplifting, sensual and deeply grounding.
Sentiō oil is not used on the scalp or hair but on the skin, in a diffuser or in the bath. 3-6 drops at a time. Use directly on the wrist and heart to encourage nervous system relaxation. Breathe.
All the essential oils in Sentiō are organic, hand mixed, and bottled in small batches in Los Angeles. Ingredients: Fractionated coconut oil (base), Vanilla, Sandalwood, Bay Laurel, Hay, White Lotus, White Sage.
Sentiō base carrier oil is organic fractionated coconut oil, a ‘dry’ oil that penetrates the skin without leaving a greasy residue. Its neutral scent allows it to blend effectively with various essential oils specifically for aromatherapy. It contains antioxidants and is deeply hydrating.
Organic Vanilla absolute from Madagascar used for its influence on the emotions; it invites sensuality, helping to dissolve anger and frustration. Vanilla Absolute has uplifting, de-stressing, anti-depressive and aphrodisiac qualities, alleviating feelings of anxiousness and helping balance the body, mind, and spirit.
Organic Sandalwood, sustainably produced from southern India. Indian sandalwood is beloved for its sweet, warm, woody and rich aroma with deeply calming effects. Emotionally and energetically healing, Indian Sandalwood is widely used to enhance mood, quietening the mind, and helping to relieve nervous tension.
Bay Laurel tree (Laurus nobilis) from the Mediterranean region is a warming and energizing essential oil that invites positive thinking, confidence, helping to clear mental confusion. Emotionally and energetically it is both uplifting and grounding.
Hay absolute is an extraction of the dried grasses of alpine sweetgrass (Hierochloe alpine) growing wild in the mountainous terrain of France. Hay is used for its uplifting, distressing, anti-depressive and calming properties.
White Lotus is extracted from the white flowers of the Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) aquatic plant from India. White lotus provides antioxidant protection, rejuvenation and vitality to the skin, while reducing symptoms of rheumatism and aches and pains. Energetically and emotionally, White lotus is known for its ability to calm and soothe while providing aphrodisiac qualities.
White Sage is steam distilled leaves of the Salvia apiana plant from the Baja region of southwestern California and northern Mexico. White Sage has been used traditionally and spiritually for centuries for ceremony by the Native Americans of that region. Its potent energy relaxes the mind, soothes anxiety and depression, and evokes calmness and serenity.
Shampoo: Neil Naturopathic Shampoo is a moisturizing treatment system delivering the best results when you follow these instructions:
- Wet your hair thoroughly.
- Massage a quarter-size portion into the crown of your scalp.
- Take another small portion of shampoo if needed and work it into any uncoated hair or scalp. NOTE: Low Lather formulation may vary due to natural ingredients.
- Allow 2 minutes to settle and sit on the hair and scalp, so that nutrients are delivered directly to the hair and scalp.
- Give one last massage as you wash out.
- Follow with Neil Naturopathic Conditioner.
Conditioner: Neil Naturopathic Conditioner is a moisturizing treatment system delivering the best results when you follow these instructions:
- After using Neil Naturopathic Shampoo, apply a generous amount of conditioner and massage into your ends working toward the scalp.
- Leave in for 2 minutes before rinsing out.
You can leave a little of this conditioner in if you want a deeper process - it will be absorbed by the hair as it dries, not greasy. Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle hair.
Ritual Oil Remedial Treatment: Use a dropper full and massage into the scalp with fingertips, or a scalp massager and through the hair before washing. Can also be left overnight for an intensive treatment.
Elixir Oil Pre-Wash Treatment: Use 8-10 drops and massage into the scalp before washing the hair to pre-treat and stimulate the scalp and hair follicles. Can be left in overnight for a deep treatment.
Potion Oil Finishing Treatment: Use 6-8 drops to detangle wet hair, or to condition and smooth frizz after styling. Can be used on wet or dry hair.
