YUCCA/QUILLAJA

Yucca was used in Native American rituals as a shampoo for its cleansing properties. Yucca has proven(*3) to inhibit inflammatory properties by suppressing inflammatory responses. Yucca has an enzyme, which produces the inflammatory agent nitric oxide as well as phenols, which are antioxidants and free-radical scavengers, suppressing reactive oxygen species (ROS) that stimulate inflammatory responses. Yucca is also beneficial in fighting skin infections and irritations, dandruff and eczema.  FROM MEXICO

Quillaja (derived from the soapbark tree) is also used for cleansing and is derived from the native Mapuche word quillean, which means “to wash”. Quillaja cleanses without drying and relieves scalp irritation due to eczema, Psoriasis and other conditions.
